About us

Hi, I’m Rebecca; artist and designer. 

I’m a wife, mother of two, art teacher and business owner living in central England. 

I have always loved drawing and art and from as far back as I can remember, you would find me creating, painting and making every school holiday using any material I could find! At university I studied Fine Art, specialising in conceptual art and later became a secondary school art teacher. Fast forward a ten years, and with a young family and new family home to decorate, my creative background, combined with my love for discovering and exploring interior trends spurred me on to create Tulip House Studio.

I began to recreate many of the hand drawn illustrations and watercolours that filled my sketchbook, starting with a series of modern botanical artworks taking influence from colour trends found in my beloved interior magazines. I started to create artwork for my own home, exploring my love of interior design and use of colour in my own home and then developing these into prints that I hoped others would love too!
